How we make money
Running an independent review site costs money — hosting, domain, tools, research, writing, editing. To keep the site free for readers, Vital Town participates in affiliate programs. When you click certain outbound links on this site and complete a purchase on the destination merchant's website, the merchant (or a payment network such as ClickBank) may pay us a referral commission.
The commission is paid by the merchant, not by you. The price you see and pay is exactly the same as if you had arrived at the merchant directly. There is no markup.
Which programs we participate in
As of the last update to this page, Vital Town participates in affiliate relationships primarily through ClickBank, a well-established online retailer for digital and physical products. Specific product programs may change over time as we publish new reviews or retire old ones.
Where a piece of content contains affiliate links, we indicate this clearly — both with a site-wide disclosure banner at the top of every page, and within the content itself.
Our editorial principles
We take editorial independence seriously. Here is what we commit to:
- Commission does not buy coverage. No manufacturer can pay us to publish a positive review, to remove a negative point, or to change our assessment in any way.
- We describe products as they actually are. Our reviews summarize what the manufacturer says, what the label discloses, and what we believe a reasonable reader should consider before purchasing — including downsides and limitations.
- We do not fabricate testimonials or results. Any testimonials we quote are attributed; any outcomes mentioned are clearly framed as what the manufacturer or a third party states, not as a guarantee.
- We do not make medical claims. Dietary supplements are not medicine. We do not represent them as able to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
- We encourage readers to verify details at the source. Pricing, ingredients, labels, and return policies can change. We link to the manufacturer's own site so you can confirm the latest.
What a commission looks like in practice
When you click an affiliate link, the merchant's system records a referral from our site (typically via a short-lived cookie on your browser). If you complete a qualifying purchase within that window, the merchant attributes the referral to Vital Town and pays us a percentage or fixed amount. We do not see your name, address, payment information, or the individual details of your purchase.
Your choices
You are always free to:
- Buy directly from a manufacturer without using our link (we still appreciate the read)
- Compare the same product against others, including from retailers we do not have an affiliate relationship with
- Decline cookies in your browser, in which case no affiliate attribution will be recorded
